Openmind Technologies Climbs to PROFIT 500 Ranking!

Openmind Technologies, a company from Greater Montreal, specializing in web development, just placed 232th among Canadian companies with the strongest growth of the year!

Ranking on the PROFIT 500 is the biggest acknowledgement of entrepreneurial success in Canada. The group produces an annual ranking of the 500 fastest-growing Canadian companies, and is a true symbol of success in the country. PROFIT 500 ranks companies based on their 5-year revenue growth, on a national and regional scale, as well as by industry. In 2017, PROFIT 500 is celebrating its 29th anniversary.

Openmind, which celebrates values such as passion, excellence, and results, was founded 12 years ago by Jonathan Léveillé. In 2016, the company doubled its workforce and now employs around thirty people. It also a dedicated business office in the industrial district of Blainville. At Openmind, collaboration is a way of life: shared information and knowledge is the cement that holds the company together.

Openmind offers its customers web services such as: business process automation, web platform development, mobile app development, web marketing strategy, e-commerce; but also has an IT helpdesk to fully oversee companies’ IT infrastructure: IT architecture and strategy, disaster recovery plan; preventive maintenance and monitoring, as well as user support.

A Growth Model that Translates Into Company Engagement

Openmind is also a socially engaged organization. First, the company is committed to its employees: in 2016, almost $250,000 was invested in improving offices and employees’ work environment, in particular with a glass lounge space and a patio. But the company is also engaged in the regional community, and gives several thousand dollars every year to support organizations including the Allaire Foundation, Centraide Laurentides, the Défi Pierre Lavoie Loop cycling event, and Pallia-Vie, a nursing home in Rivière-du-Nord.

Over the last several years, Openmind has received many awards: in 2013, the company was a finalist for the Innovation Prize from the CCISJM and for the Oeil de la relève (Eye on the Succession) from the CCISJM. In 2014, it was a finalist for SME of the Year from the CCITB and winner of the Young Entrepreneur of the Year from the CCITB. In 2015, Openmind was a finalist for Innovation, Creativity and Technologies from the CCITB, finalist for Homages to a Remarkable Employee from the CCITB and winner of the Company of the Year from the CCITB. In 2017, Openmind won Investment of the year from CCITB.
